“Quite good, actually! Things have been calm lately, I’m enjoying it.” He takes a sip of the tea, regardless of the temperature or taste. He then adds a few sugar cubes, letting them dissolve before taking another. “And I hope you have been doing good, as well?”
“Oh yes.” Karma watched her tea idly, the blend was unfamiliar to her and she was still deciding if she liked it. She had to agree, it was very calm as late. “I have been doing very well. Not much going on in Ionia of late.” Karma chuckled softly, “Though, Irelia would be having a cow right now looking for me if I hadn’t let her know I was leaving.”
“Interesting,” He muses, finally finding a comfortable position. He glances up at her, half smiling, admittedly a little embarrassed at his struggle with the chair. “I hope it suits your fancy.”
It doesn’t long for their tea to arrive. The woman presents it from a large silver plate, setting down each piece of ceramic on the table. She pours each of them a starting cup, leaving the teapot in the center of the table. “Please let me know if you need anything. Enjoy.”
Karma smiled at Darius’s predicament before quietly thanking the server and picking up the cup gingerly. She inhaled deeply, assessing the tea. With slight calculation, she spooned a small amount of sugar into her tea and added a roughly a tablespoon of the cream with it. “So, how have you been lately, Darius?” She asked while stirring her tea.
